Open Water Diving Course
The Open Water diving course is the first level of certification.
A professional in the field will teach you, step by step, how to navigate the aquatic environment using complete diving equipment.
You will acquire the necessary knowledge to make the most of your training and obtain your diving certification.
At Dive Costa Rica, we offer the option of obtaining your Open Water certification with PADI or SSI, the two largest and most internationally recognized diving certification agencies.

Course Details
Theory
5/6 Knowledge Development. You will learn everything you need to know about the principles and terminology of diving independently and online.
Pool Training
5 - 6 Sessions. After completing the theoretical part, you will be required to complete the pool sessions corresponding to the course, which can be completed in a single consecutive day. During these sessions, you will learn basic diving skills.
Diving in the sea
5 dives in the sea. After completing the pool training, the participant will be ready to demonstrate their aquatic skills in the sea. The first two dives will be shallow, with the aim of familiarizing the participant with the environment and gaining confidence in using the diving equipment.

Itinerary
Day 1: Starts at 2:00 p.m. until approximately 7:00 p.m.
Filling out paperwork and starting pool practice
Day 2: Starts at 8:30 a.m. until approximately 1:30 p.m.
Dives 1, 2 and 3 in the ocean
Day 3: Starts at 8:30 a.m. until approximately 12:30 p.m.
Dives 4 and 5 in the ocean
