Diving and Snorkeling Tour
Turtle Island
Tortuga Island is an island located in the Gulf of Nicoya, on the Pacific Ocean coast of Costa Rica. It is located near the Nicoya Peninsula and in front of the Curu Wildlife Refuge. It is actually made up of two small islands called Alcatraz and Tolinga, which are located very close to each other.
Diving in Tortuga Island and Snorkeling
On Tortuga Island we have several diving and snorkeling sites where it is possible to find a great marine diversity, including green turtles, white tip sharks, nudibranchs, frogfish, eagle rays, among others.
Some of the most popular diving spots include Shark Cave, with a maximum depth of 10 meters. This is followed by The Wall, and finally The Aquarium, the deepest point, recommended for experienced divers. At this last site, it is crucial to take into account the sea conditions, as it presents strong currents and considerable waves.
